11-time Baja 1000 champion and Off-Road legend Johnny Campbell has been the heart and soul of JCR/Honda's philanthropic mission. Having raced through Baja for decades, Johnny developed a deep connection to the communities along the peninsula — and a commitment to giving back that goes far beyond the finish line.
As leader of the True Champion initiative, Johnny works directly with the Baja Beach Bash team and is a lifelong brother to the Desert Assassins. Johnny co-leads the annual fundraiser for the Santa Marta orphanage. For Johnny, this work is not a side project; it is the mission.

How We Give Back
Rip to Cabo EMS Fundraiser
With support from several US-based fire departments, the 2025 Rip to Cabo EMS Fundraiser provided first responders with equipment, gear, and funds delivered to multiple community-based agencies along the Baja Peninsula. Led by the Desert Assassins, with support from Johnny Campbell, the event brought together the Off-Road community in a shared mission to protect and support the people who keep Baja safe.
