2023 ISDE Update.

Nov 8th, 2023

The 97th edition of the International Six-Days Enduro (ISDE) is well underway, with two days complete and four more to follow in San Juan, Argentina.

Days 1 & 2 circled the same loop twice each day, with a total of 6 special tests per day. If racing for 7 straight hours isn't enough, the brutal desert terrain of silt, dust, and rocks combined with soaring  100F + temperatures certainly would be cause for challenging conditions to overcome.    The JCR/Honda racers are pacing themselves well but are highly confident as the conditions are familiar to the JCR proving grounds back home in California's Mojave desert.  This is quite evident as Preston Campbell #405 is having a solid ride near the front of his division in the C2 (450 4-stroke) category,  2nd overall on his Honda CRF450RX. Ryan Surratt #502 is finding his grove by  Day 2, delivering improved results, and the enduro rookie currently sits in 10th position in the C2 class. A stand-out rider who is starting to serve notice is Preston's younger cousin, Nolan Cate #407, who overcame a brake mishap on day one to bounce back to 3rd place in the C1 division (250 4-stroke) for Day 2, now sits 8th overall in his division on his CRF250RX.

Two days down and four to go! We wish these Red Riders the best of luck in their mission to conquer a brutally tough edition of the ISDE.
