Preston Campbell Battles tough Texas terrain and moves into 3rd in the NHHA points chase!

Feb 8th, 2021

This weekend's NHHA event Rnd 2, was hosted by Lubbock Trail Riders. The event is a favorite for many riders as the club utilizes nearly all single track trails that wind through trees and cactus, providing the races with 2- individual loops totaling over 75 miles of tight technical challenges and entertainment for the fans.

JCR/Honda's Preston Campbell had an eventful race. Starting off by getting caught up in a first-turn pileup. He avoided going down but had to come to a complete stop to do so. Preston made some aggressive passes moving through the pack on the first 35-mile loop and came through the pits and off to the second loop in 6th overall. With 40 miles of technical and dusty racecourse left to work with. Preston put his head down and raced his CRF450X into a three-way battle for the final podium step. Unfortunately, a broken handguard from the first loop left his brake lever exposed resulting in a tip over and having the young Campbell left to settle for 5th overall on the day. Preston gained valuable points in the Championship chase moving to 3rd overall!

Also congratulations to our fellow Red Riders for a string of SX wins!!
