Trevor Stewart Extends Championship AMA Big 6 WCGP points lead with dominant victory!

Oct 8th, 2018

Thank you to the Viewfinders MC who put on a great Grand Prix. The racers were treated to an overnight rain shower that left course conditions epic for Sunday’s AMA BIG 6 WCGP pro race. Lap times were approximately 11 min 40 sec for a race that lasted just over 1 and a half hours. The course was fast and twisty, with sand and hardpack mix, including traditional GP features such as paved sections, MX jumps, desert whoops and sandy berms. JCR/Honda's Trevor Stewart dominated the field, rounding the first corner in third place he outpowered the field on his Gage Day prepped CRF450RX. Trevor, managed the entire 1.5hr plus, winning by a 25-sec margin.

In the same event, JCR/Honda's Tarah Gieger took her CRF250R to the top box in the women’s pro division. Preston Campbell raced the 250 Pro class aboard his CRF250R snagging a top 5.

“Trevor and the entire team did an impeccable job this weekend. Trevor has taken the next step in his race craft and showed great maturity. I would like to thank our crew for the hard work and focus. We are one step closer to clinching the WCGP championship!” -- Johnny Campbell
