JCR/Honda racer Ricky Brabec win's the 2016 NH&H Championship!

Oct 24th, 2016

In the final round of the 2016 AMA National Hare & Hound Championship series Ricky Brabec takes the win and secures the National Championship!

The 100's MC hosted their 49th annual Johnson Valley Championship. The course was technical and rocky sending the racers on a 3 loop 100 mile adventure.

Ricky started in 5th and moved quickly into 2nd place. Riding smart and fast he took possession of the lead before the end of loop 1. He raced the remaining loops a like a true champion, finishing with the race win and the 2016 AMA NH&H Championship!

"Winning isn't everything, but I don't sign up to lose... The race went good. I didn't get the jump I wanted off the start but I was able to find some clean air and move toward the front. It took me awhile to catch the leader and I finally was able to get by him around the 30 mile mark. Once out front, I was able to manage the pace of the race. It feels good to recapture the Hare and Hound title. Now it's full focus on Dakar 2017!" -- Ricky Brabec

"This season has been great racing the NH&H and watching Ricky's continued transformation into a mature Champion. The Honda CRF450X proved once again that it is the most dominate bike in the desert. I want to Congratulate Ricky and the whole JCR/Honda team on a job well done. I also want to thank all the Sponsors that help make this happen your support is vital to our success." -- Johnny Campbell
