Johnny Campbell wins SCORE-International's 2011 Person of the Year award

Dec 16th, 2011

SCORE-International hosted their annual end of year awards banquet this past weekend at the Atrium hotel in Orange County, CA. Johnny Campbell and JCR/Honda are no strangers to SCORE awards with Honda winning the past 15 Baja 1000’s in a row. But this was a 1st for JCR namesake and front man Johnny Campbell who was up for SCORE’s 2011 Person of the Year for the first time. Johnny Campbell was also the celebrity emcee for the awards gala alongside Dan McGranahan. Johnny would have to wait till the end of the banquet to find out if he was indeed the winner and when the announcement was made, Johnny was his gracious and humble self accepting with class and appreciation to SCORE-International, his fellow nominees and all of his team, staff, volunteers, sponsors and to all the teams that race in Baja. Several JCR pit teams also picked up SCORE awards for 2011 including Colton Udall who won the 2011 Championship and American Honda who won Motorcycle Manufacture of the Year. The award was accepted on behalf of American Honda by JCR/Honda head technician Eric Siraton. Special thanks to Eric Morley of Blue C who produced the awards banquet and Sal Fish of SCORE-International for a great year of racing.

"I am honored to win this award and it was an honor to be recognized by my peers. SCORE-International put together another great year of racing in 2011 and I am proud to have been a part of it." -- Johnny Campbell
