JCR/Honda's Timmy Weigand sweeps Monster Energy Mammoth MX vet weekend!

Jun 24th, 2010

The first weekend of racing at the 2010 Monster Energy Mammoth Motocross is in the record books and Timmy Weigand picked up where he left off 3 months ago, winning, winning and winning again for a clean sweep. Timmy who is still fresh off a heart surgery and admittedly racing back into shape proved that his determination is unshakeable. The gritty former AMA Motocross and Supercross racer who switched his focus to Off-Road racing in 2008 and has since tackled WORCS, AMA Hare Scrambles, ISDE and the SCORE Baja 1000.

Now-a-days Timmy is more Off-Road racer than Motocrosser but the one MX race he vows to compete in every year is Mammoth. This year has taken on special meaning with his surgery, and birth of his second child making the wins all the more sweet. Timmy faces another challenge this coming weekend as the Pros will do battle once again. He is the defending champ and has a target on his back but we are confident he is up to it. One thing is for sure at the end of the moto when everyone else has thrown out the anchor Timmy will be digging deep and showing off his newly patched up heart.
